Current River

Current River is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is very convenient in this part of Thunder Bay. It is especially convenient to access a place to park, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the public transit network in Current River is not very practical. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically close by. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this part of Thunder Bay because carrying out daily needs is challenging by walking.

Services

Some property owners in Current River may be able to access the nearest supermarket on foot, while others will have to turn to another means of transportation. Residents benefit from a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. In terms of education, there are only a limited number of primary schools in this part of Thunder Bay and therefore they can be a rather long walk away. Likewise, Current River does not have any high schools. Moreover, parents may find it difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian.

Character

Current River is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to one of the railway lines.
